Our optical services are different because we believe if you are going to spend money on your one and only pair of eyes, then you should have quality lenses and frames; the kind with the best warranty in the business. Our licensed opticians will guide you every step to finding the most flattering frame for your face. With the best selection of luxury/designer eyewear on the Space Coast, you’ll be sure to find what you’ve been looking for.

Atlantis Vision Center has an onsite, state of the art optical finishing lab. This allows our licensed opticians to have “hands on” control over the quality and cosmetic appearance of your new eyewear. When investing in your eyewear, it is important to invest in quality lenses. Even though we want you to look your best – it doesn’t mean ANYTHING if you don’t see your best.

Eyeglass lenses are not created equal. There are vast differences in the quality of available lenses. Think about the changes in our cell phones in the last 10 years. The same types of advancements in technology have been made to your eyeglasses from digital surfacing to anti-glare coatings. Are you really going to go in to get a new phone and ask for the oldest one they have? Well in some opticals- that is what you get; the older lenses that are outdated.

COMPREHENSIVE VISION & EYE HEALTH EXAMINATIONS

Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining healthy eyes by detecting and preventing disease. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options. The entire exam process can take an hour depending on the complexity of the problem. Each patient will be evaluated with a refraction, slit lamp, intraocular pressure and a retinal exam.

PEDIATRIC EYE CARE

We take pride in maintaining the vision of our younger patients in an environment that is lighthearted and fun. We want to insure the good sight, vision, and eye health for the rest of your child’s life and take a preventative approach to his/her general health and eye health. We will work with your child’s primary care physician to help keep his/her eyes healthy. It is important that all of our pediatric patients have healthy and efficient visual systems to help make visual demands of learning in school easier and fun.

CONTACT LENS EXAMS & FITTINGS

Thanks to the advances in optical technology, almost everyone is a candidate for contact lens use. This includes patients with astigmatism and also those who prefer bifocal or multifocal lenses. At our office, we offer a comprehensive array of contact lenses to suit each individual patient’s needs.

We understand times are tough. While we always recommend the best for your eyes and vision first, we are able to work with you to maintain your business. Allow us the opportunity to discuss other solutions before buying your eyewear elsewhere. Don’t be afraid to ask what less expensive options are available. We are here to help.

Don’t be fooled by misleading advertising. Anyone can sell you cheap glasses. Advertisements for cheap glasses are for poor quality frames. Many are discontinued frames and you will be unable to get replacements. The lenses have poor quality optics, no scratch treatment, or inferior coatings on only one side. Many companies advertise contact lenses at a lower price, but it is usually for a one year supply that you must buy upfront, and after a rebate that you must wait to receive back.
Ask yourself how chain stores sell cheap glasses. After all, expensive advertising and rent have to be paid for somehow. The only way you can sell a product so cheaply is to skimp on the quality of the materials and by not paying the employees a decent salary. Part of the price of eyewear is for the training and expertise of our opticians. It takes a lot of optical training and experience to be an expert optician to ensure your glasses are made correctly. Make sure there is an optician licensed by the State of Florida.
We ask that you compare our prices to others using the exact same brands. Here at Atlantis Vision, we use primarily Varilux High Definition Progressives with Crizal anti reflection coatings which come with a 2 year scratch warranty. The brand makes a difference, just like jewelry, shoes, tools and cars. Make sure you are given the exact items recommended.
Free 1 Year Warranty on frames. If your frame breaks, we will replace it free of charge. We do not charge extra for a frame warranty like some chain stores.
Free adjustments. If you accidentally sit on your frame or find them bent out of shape from everyday wear, we are a short trip away from a perfect fit again. A lot of our patients find this convenience more worthwhile than having to drive somewhere else for a simple glasses adjustment or repair. We will also replace the nose pads free of charge for the life of the prescription.
Trust. Your trust in Dr. Mandese’s ability to detect and treat your eye conditions can extend to trust in the accuracy of your prescription. If you have a problem, we will fix it. We guarantee to give you the best information and service in a friendly atmosphere; no hassles or sales pitches — only our recommendations to provide you with the best optical prescription for your eyes and lifestyle.
Should you decide to purchase your eyeglasses elsewhere, we have no control over quality or workmanship. If you pick up your new glasses and are having a problem with them, you may want the doctor to recheck the refraction. If the doctor has to check the refraction, this will require another appointment slot. If the doctor finds a change in the refraction, there will be no charge for this appointment. However, if the doctor finds nothing wrong with the original refraction, there will be a $25.00 charge for the appointment since the problem lies with the product you received from another vendor.
